Creating an inclusive school is about more than responding when a child is struggling. It is about developing environments, relationships and approaches that recognise that children learn, communicate, regulate and participate in different ways.

We support schools working with children and young people with a wide range of needs, including neurodivergent needs, learning needs, social, emotional and mental health needs, communication differences, developmental and relational needs and behaviours that may be difficult to understand or manage.
Rather than looking at a child or their behaviour in isolation, we consider the interaction between the child, the adults around them, their relationships, developmental needs, the environment and the demands being placed upon them.
Schools often already have considerable inclusive practice in place, but it can be difficult to step back and consider what is working well, where there may be gaps and what needs to develop next.
Our free Inclusion Strategy Health Check is a simple five-minute self-assessment to help school leaders reflect on inclusion across their school.
It considers areas including leadership, SEND and neurodivergent needs, learning needs, behaviour and SEMH, staff confidence, early identification, relationships with families and how support is reviewed.
At the end, you will have a clearer picture of your school's current strengths and areas you may want to consider as you develop or review your Inclusion Strategy.
There is no single approach to inclusion that will work for every school. Following an initial discussion or Inclusion Strategy Health Check, we can develop support around the needs and priorities of your setting.

Sometimes a pupil may be physically present in school but still find it difficult to access learning, relationships or everyday school life.
They may be struggling with the classroom environment, learning demands, transitions, relationships, sensory experiences, emotional regulation, communication or expectations that do not yet match their needs.
Behaviour may be the most visible part of the difficulty, but it is rarely the whole picture.
Our team work alongside school staff to look beyond what is happening and consider why it may be happening and what might need to be different to support the child more effectively.
This may involve changes to the environment, expectations or support around the pupil, as well as developing the understanding, confidence and consistency of the adults working with them.
Work around an individual pupil can often tell us something valuable about wider school practice.
Our aim is not simply to provide strategies for one child. We work alongside staff to build knowledge, confidence and consistency so that learning from individual situations can contribute to stronger inclusive practice across the school.
Sometimes relatively small changes can make a significant difference.
Our team brings together extensive experience across education, SEND, neurodivergence, behaviour support, attachment, trauma, therapeutic practice and family work.
This enables us to consider the different factors that may be influencing a child's experience of school rather than approaching difficulties from a single perspective.
