Brigid Matthews is a qualified Play Therapist affiliated with The British Association of Play Therapists.
After running her own nursery for twenty years Brigid decided to gain further insight into understanding children's behaviour and how she could best support them. She undertook postgraduate training to become a qualified play therapist. She has also worked in Children’s Centres and as a Family Support Worker in a number of schools.
Brigid specialises in taking a non-directive and child-centred approach, allowing the child to take the lead. She offers support to help children with anxieties, past traumas and a variety of complex issues to support them in whatever individual needs they currently have.
